Stretching and jumping build confidence

June 9, 2009

I’m not talking about the kind of stretching you do before and after you exercise.  I’m talking about when you step up and commit to something big and after you do, a voice says “What did I just do?”  You might feel apprehension and anxiety, but you do it anyway.  Something in you knows you will be stretched, and deep down inside you know this is a good thing.  As an old friend of mine used to say, it will be a “hotdoggin’ opportunity.”graphic-of-a-book

Well, that’s what happened to me this past weekend.  I committed to doing the Write-a-Book-in-a-Weekend.  Yes, you heard me right.  I said “in a weekend.”  It almost sounds impossible, doesn’t it?  Well, guess what?  It is possible.  Donna Kozik of www.MyBigBusinessCard.com was the facilitator.  She did a fabulous job.  My friend, Meredith Liepelt of www.richlifemarketing.com had participated in April so I knew it had to be a good thing to do.

I learned many things from the weekend:

  • When I stay calm and trust, I am much more productive.
  • I don’t always have to have an exact plan; in fact, good can come from not having one.
  • It feels good to make the time for me.
  • If I need something, I need to ask for what I want (my family gave me what I needed–time and space because I asked for it).
  • I am capable of so much more than I give myself credit.
  • I am very passionate about inspiring and teaching others.
  • Writing a book is exciting and fun.
  • Stretching is a good thing–it builds confidence.
  • When I set an intention, I send out a message to the universe that makes things happen the way I want.
  • Being in the space of creating is a great place to be.

So, I ask you….have you stretched lately?

Is there something you dream about doing?person-jumping-off

What is holding you back?

What if you just jumped?

Would it help if you were accountable to someone?

What is it costing you by not jumping?

What gifts would you receive if you were stretched?

Stay tuned for my book A Spark of Hope by Linda Wisler Luft.

I also would like to thank one of my past clients, Anne, who inspired me for the title of my book.  She said coaching with me gave her HOPE.

“Your Vision Board workshop was truly amazing.  In truth, it was so much more than just creating a vision board.  Your exercises and guidance were so helpful to get in the mindset of creating a truly powerful vision.  I brought my 7 year-old daughter with me and she also loved it!  It was a great bonding experience for us and she’s so proud to have a vision board “just like mommy!”  I’m a fan of vision boards and know the importance of doing at least one a year.  I’ll be back for another workshop when it’s time again.

How to GLOW and be FIRED-UP

May 1, 2009

Spring is finally here.  I love this time of year.  Something new and beautiful pops upsb09-007 in my flower beds every day.   Do you believe I have had poison ivy twice already!  I am looking forward to planting a vegetable garden again this year (this will be my second year).  I am also looking forward to cook-outs, walking my dog, Buddy, and having both of my daughters home for the summer.  Jess is coming home from her first year at Bowling Green; this is Jenn’s last summer before going to University of Kentucky in the fall.  I can’t believe it.  It seems like yesterday that they were babies.  I am hoping there will be lots of evenings around the firepit with the girls and their friends.  I am also looking forward to visiting my oldest brother and his wife in New Hampshire and going on bike rides with my husband, Ken.  It’s great to be outside again and feel the sunshine!

“How to Glow and Be Fired-Up

I had the privilege of being in the room with a bunch of wonderful women who attended my workshop.    These women ARE truly amazing and are great examples of what it’s like to GLOW and be FIRED-UP!

Here is what I witnessed.  (more…)

TOP TEN reasons to create a Vision Board

March 7, 2009

awesome-women-vision-board-jan2009-018I feel such warmth in my heart when I think about those who attended my recent Vision Board Workshops.  They were so inspiring and they got so inspired!!  WOOHOO!! I am proud of them because they learned, stretched, grew and created the VISION FOR THEIR LIFE.  They were POWERFUL.  I truly believe doors will open and “coincidences” will occur now that they have put their vision out there.

TOP TEN reasons to create a vision board:

  1. Anything creative quiets your mind.  What a great place to be!
  2. You get so involved.  At the last workshop, I had to pull people away to get them to stop.
  3. A picture is worth a thousand words.  With a vision board, you get to SEE your vision.  It is so exciting!
  4. Creating a vision board takes you out of your left brain and puts you in your right brain.
  5. It is the “law of attraction” at work.  It is a way to put out into the universe what it is you want to manifest.
  6. A vision board can be a “structure” for taking you where you want to be.  If you feel stuck or is you feel fear, stand in front of your vision board and go to that place in all of the pictures.  Get empowered and out of your “stuck” perspective.
  7. Manifesting begins when you get into the feeling and the excitement as if your vision is already here.  A vision board gets you into the excitement.
  8. Creating a vision board helps you to clarify what it is that you want.
  9. Your values and priorites become clear when you create a vision board.
  10. It gets you fired up about what you want to consciously create in your life!

Plus it is FUN!

Watch The Glow movie and create your Vision Board!

The Glow Movie

The movie that will inspire and uplift you by sharing personal life stories and success strategies of accomplished and inspiring women.  It features prominent corporate achievers and successful entrepreneurs.  See how these women walked through adversity and learn how to walk through your own fears and challenges.

“GLOW” is a powerful word that is often used by women praising women who exude grace, confidence and strength.  GLOW is unique in that, while it is invisible, women can see it, and while it can’t be touched, women can feel it.”

Have you been wanting to do your Vision Board
and haven’t made the time to do it?

  • Do you need CLARITY of your vision?
  • Would it motivate and empower you to SEE PICTURES of your vision every day?
  • How often do you take the TIME to plan what you want to manifest?

awesome-women-vision-board-jan2009-0062 Comments from Linda’s other workshops: “I just wanted to thank you for such a great vision board session last month.  I have had lasting results.  I honestly can say that I don’t have stresses any more and I really must have left those back in 2008!  Any time I feel them coming on–I just don’t let it and I am a better person for it.”  Alison Bunch, President of Tan Envy  www.tanenvy.com

“I will continue to add to, revise and make more vision boards! This is a very empowering exercise and I can’t wait to look back on this vision board in a few years and see what came true!” Susie L.
